Byron boys wrapped up the regular season on Monday and Tuesday night, October 2 and 3, with a win and a tie. Both road games, Monday the boys traveled to South St. Paul to take on the Packers. Liam Schick led the way with two goals, while Aydan Tye chipped in another and added an assist. Talon Henderson finished the scoring with a blast from 20 yards into the upper corner to make it 4-0.

The Byron and Triton cross country teams competed in the Chatfield Invitational, on Wednesday, October 4, at Chosen Valley Golf Course.

The Lady Bears soccer team played a perfect week recently. On Thursday, September 28, the girls shut-down Lake City, 6-0, and on Saturday, the Byron girls put away Austin, 8-0. BYRON — Saturday, September 23, was the day the Byron soccer girls took on Rochester John Marshall. The pitch was a bit sloppy, but the Bears were sharp as ever, earning a 3-0 victory over the Rockets. Payton Satzke had a pair of goals, and Marisssa Ellavsky had one in Byron’s non-conference win over John Marshall. Byron grabbed a 2-0 first-half lead. Lady Bears: Marissa Ellavsky, 1 goal; Paige Halder, 1 assist; Payton Satzke, 2 goals.

The abbreviated 2023 Chateau Speedway racing season came to a conclusion Sunday afternoon with the running of the $1,000 to win Stock Car Shootout. The show was originally scheduled for Friday night but Mother Nature decided to catch up on some much-needed rainfall for the area starting on Friday and continuing into early Sunday morning.

The Byron volleyball team defeated Goodhue, 3-0, on Thursday, September 21, with set scores of 25-21, 25-17, 25-19.
