ROCHESTER — Saturday, November 4, was the day the Byron volleyball girls were waiting for. And they delivered, taking down Kasson-Mantorville, 3-1, in the Section 1, Class 3A championship match, at Mayo Civic Arena. Set scores were 19-25, 25-18, 25-17, 25-20.

ALBERT LEA — The Byron and Kasson-Mantorville cross country teams competed in the MSHSL 2023 Section 1AA Cross Country Championships on Thursday, October 26, at Bancroft Bay Park in Albert Lea.

On Saturday, October 7 Kasson-Mantorville held their 7th Annual Epilepsy Awareness and Fundraiser Soccer Game Day! This year Cotter Schools participated in the day by playing games and purchasing t-shirts. The JV and Varsity soccer teams took a picture between the Boys Varsity and Girls Varsity games.

EYOTA — It was a matchup between a couple of friendly foe powerhouses on the soaked Eyota pitch last Thursday, October 12, and the Section 1-2A semifinal game featured a third party into the action…Mother Nature.

Byron and Hayfield cross country teams competed in the Packer Invitational, on Tuesday, October 10, at River Oaks Golf Course, Lansing Township.

The second-seed Byron soccer boys had a great start to the Section 1AA quarterfinal round on Tuesday night, October 10, hosting #7-seed Waseca at Byron High School. Caden Fox got the team going when he finished a perfect pass from Liam Schick, 15 seconds into the game, for the 1-0 lead. Schick then went off for three straight goals, 2 were assisted by fellow captain Aydan Tye and one from Talon Henderson.
