Dodge County 4-H Ribbon Auction sets record in 2026
Despite several days of extreme heat and even a power outage during the week, Dodge County 4-H members, parents, and volunteers rose to the challenge, leading to another successful Dodge County Free Fair.
One of the highlights of the week was the annual Dodge County 4-H Ribbon Auction, which raises funds to support State Fair scholarships, leadership activities and camps, 4-H infrastructure, and recognition programs for Dodge County 4-H members. Through the auction, youth exhibitors are guaranteed a percentage of the bid on their ribbon-winning projects, while a portion of proceeds supports the broader needs of the 4-H program.
This year’s auction was a record-breaking success, leading to $131,025 in total auction purchases. The final bid of the morning was designated for the Ribbon Auction Scholarship Fund and brought in an additional $5,400. Together, these contributions represent the largest amount ever raised through the Dodge County 4-H Ribbon Auction.
«We are incredibly grateful to the families, businesses, and community supporters who invested in our young people through the Ribbon Auction,» said Dodge County 4-H staff. «Their generosity helps create opportunities for youth to develop leadership skills, attend educational programs, pursue State Fair experiences, and be recognized for their hard work and accomplishments.»
