A family reeling from getting the worst imaginable news about their son a little more than a year ago is now mourning the boy’s passing.
Miles Nelson, 3, died with his family at his side Saturday in their West Concord home.
In August 2017, Jacob and April Nelson got some of the worst news imaginable by doctors.

For the first time ever, the annual Care and Share Auction will take place in the K-M Performing Arts Center.
The annual event is the biggest fundraiser for the non-profit organization, which helps many families every year during their times of need.

I may sound like a stereotypical New Englander, but when I was growing up there was always one thing I could always rely on. Dunkin Donuts. One of the reasons why I knew I could always rely on my favorite coffee shop is because of how many there were.
Before I wrote this I did a quick google map search of my parents address in Rhode Island and Dunkin
Donuts and 40 locations were within a 5-mile radius.

When Michele Swift came home from work on Thursday night to her rural Claremont home, her husband Tim gave her some of the worst news imaginable.
Her dog Sophie had been shot and killed by an unknown assailant.
Sophie became apart of the Swift family about nine years ago when they got her from a puppy mill when she was just 4 months old.
“She was really timid at first,” Michele said.

Almost 20 years ago Emily Steffens life changed forever.
After traveling home from signing up for college classes with friends their vehicle got into a rollover car accident.
That day changed her life as she is now paralyzed on her right side and partially blind as well she suffers from memory loss.
That day she broke the golden rule.
She didn’t buckle up her seat belt.

 
In August of 2017  Jacob and April Nelson got some of the worst news imaginable by doctors.
They were told that their child Miles had Acute myeloid leukemia (AML) a rare cancer for children that is much more aggressive than ALL which is the form of Leukemia that most children are diagnosed with.
The diagnosis for Miles came right after his second birthday when his mother brought him in for his checkup.

On Saturday morning Miles Nelson a three year old boy from West Concord  lost his battle with Acute Myeloid Leukemia, with his parents by his side.
