Three teams of Triton students, two from the middle school and one from the high school, are busy building apps that will be entered in the upcoming Minnesota Technovation challenge.
Technovation is an international competition that is designed to get more girls interested in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM), said Triton Middle School math teacher Patrick Floryance, the advisor for the students.

Entering the Section 1AA team wrestling tournament, the paths of Kasson- Mantorville and Simley seemed intertwined. The two teams were ranked first and second in The Guillotine’s Class AA rankings and in each of the past two years, the KoMets were able to get the best of the Spartans in the section championship dual on their way to state championships.

She is survived by her children Troy, Eric (Tessa) and Sara (Ed) Will; grandchildren Keith, Derek, Emma, Henry, Sam, Vicki and sister Margaret.

The interview process for a new superintendent of schools did not go exactly as Triton School Board members had expected, but at the end of the process the board unanimously agreed to offer the position to Triton High School Principal Craig Schlichting.

Four years ago, the first ever all Hispanic 4-H Club was formed in rural Minnesota.
That group club is known as the DC Pumas and is apart of the Dodge County 4-H program.
Last week,during a conference for county elected officials the DC Pumas was recognized for its hard work,and was awarded the  2019 AMC 4H Community Leadership Award.

Scott Luverne Reyant, owner of Reyant Painting and Restoration and resident of Albert Lea, died unexpectedly on Saturday, Feb. 9, 2019 of a massive heart attack at the age of 56 doing what he loved, ice fishing. 
Scott was born on Nov. 2, 1962 in Owatonna, the son of Nancy (Dahl) Reyant. He attended Owatonna High School and graduated in 1981. Following high school, Scott attended Crookston Vo-Tech. 

Janet Lucille Guttormson, 86 of Austin, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family at St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester on Jan. 31, 2019.

Scott Peder Olson Jr. was arrested on Monday, Feb. 18 after his vehicle collided with a train in Dodge County.
According to the complaint, a Dodge County deputy was dispatched to a vehicle versus train crash in Dodge Center, where the driver of the vehicle fled the scene.
After observing the vehicle in the ditch, the deputy made contact with the conductor who told him that the driver had ran northbound.
