Jessica Marquardt, got a great surprise recently, when her classroom was surprised with a grant from Nasco, a leader in STEM/STEAM education curriculum, supplies, and solutions. Nasco teamed up with Southeast Service Cooperative’s STEM Forward to help her classroom with science, technology, engineering and math(STEM) resources for her classroom to increase STEM awareness and excitement with students.

Improvements to Highway 14 in Steele and Dodge Counties have been a personal issue for West Concord resident Beth Hodgman for years.
Hodgman’s husband, Scott, and two other people were killed Nov. 6, 2012 in an accident on the two-lane stretch of Highway 14 near Dodge Center. Through the years she has maintained weather played a role in the crash and that her husband would still be alive if the highway had been four lanes.

George B. Ressler, age 101 of Blooming Prairie, passed away Sunday, March 3, 2019 at Prairie Manor Care Center in Blooming Prairie.
George Bernard Ressler was born Feb. 22, 1918 in Blooming Prairie, the son of Frank and Albina (Motl) Ressler. He grew up and attended school in Blooming Prairie, graduating from Blooming Prairie High School in 1936.

Alice Elaine (Nelson) Reese, 79 of Blooming Prairie, passed peacefully at Mayo Clinic Health System of Austin on Friday, Feb. 22, 2019. Family members were with her during her last few days and when she passed.

Maxine Marjorie (Runden) Higgins, age 98, formerly of Austin, passed away Sunday, March 3, 2019 at Westview Care Center in Britt, Iowa.

Ever since Byron senior Kelsey Engebose was a sophomore in high school, she knew that she wanted to go into a math field one day.

With the disappointment of falling short of capturing the team title long behind them, the Kasson-Mantorville wrestling team was on a mission heading into the Minnesota State Individual Tournament. The previous weekend, the KoMets had sent nine wrestlers to St. Paul in the Section 1AA Tournament  and many were poised to continue their success in a field loaded with some of the best wrestlers in the state.

It can sometimes get a little confusing around Triton Elementary School,  if you are looking for a first grade teacher. Especially if you are not sure if you are looking for Mrs. Henslin or Ms. Henslin.
Once you figure it out it really quite simple. Mrs. Henslin is Dawna and Ms. Henslin is her daughter Emily.

In the past 36 years, the Kasson-Mantorville school district has seen plenty of change. There have been new faces, new buildings and new programs that have been injected into the district over the years and have made it what it is today. However, over that same time there has been one constant in high school math teacher Jeff Bernards.
