Then & Now

At one time just north of this location where Country Pleasures is now located was a Shoer and Wagon Shop and later it was converted into a welding and repair shop. This is where Kasson Ford (located in the mini-mall on Main Street) built a car wash. Through the years the building has been used for a fishing tackle and a gun store, a TV and appliance shop, a pie shop called Pies and Stuff, and for the past 25 years a cafe and catering service

What is Ted Fass Law?

Question: What is the Ted Foss law in Minnesota?
Answer: The law got its name from a tragedy. Trooper Ted Foss was conducting a traffic stop Aug. 30, 2000, on the shoulder of Interstate 90 when he was hit and killed by a passing vehicle. He left behind his wife, Andrea, and two kids.

Then & Now

Kasson Church of Christ is a daughter congregation of the Concord Church of Christ. The former State Theater building in Kasson was purchased by members living in the Kasson, Mantorville, and Byron area with services held starting in November 1983. They moved to their present location at 901 8th Ave NW (west of the dump road) when the new building was completed in 1998. An addition to the church was completed in 2003.
