Patrol Testing For Noise Pollution

Faith in Action volunteers served treats for the coffee hour after the South Zumbro Lutheran Church service on Sunday, August 27. The volunteers help seniors be able to stay in their homes longer by doing different duties such as giving them rides, delivering groceries, light cleaning at homes plus other duties. Nicholas Anderson and Russell Lucas stopped to pray at Kasson-Mantorville High School on Saturday morning, August 26, on their Ride with a Purpose. They made many additional stops at high schools during the day and several groups of bikers will pray at 472 public high schools all across Minnesota by September 1. Lucas said he would continue on the ride during the next week to other Minnesota schools.
 
 

A Mantorvlle man remained in custody Monday after being charged with felony assault after he shot towards police during a standoff last Thursday.
Russell Herbert Hilsman, 57, was charged with first-degree assault for using deadly force against a peace officer and second-degree assault with a dangerous weapon, both felonies.
