Seven Complete Red Cross First Aid Course

You can’t go wrong with entering a community with a new baby, as Pastor Karl Christie of Our Savior Evangelical Lutheran Church in Kasson is finding out.
Christie was ordained on Aug. 6, and began his church service then. He moved to the city of Kasson this summer with his wife Rachel and their now one-month-old baby Charlotte.

Correction from Part 2: Marjorie O`Brien of Kasson should have been listed as the person who married Jim`s brother, John--not as Jim`s English teacher.
(Editor’s Note: James Allen is a Byron native and graduate of Byron High School. Parts 1 and 2 told of his years growing up on a farm in the years before and during World War II. This continues the story through medical school, practice and retirement.)

Fans of agate hunting and those who are interested in agates and minerals are invited to the Southern Minnesota Meet and Greet this Saturday, September 30, at Riverside Park in Mantorville.
The event will begin at 9 a.m. and continue until 4 p.m., according to organizer Tim Fitzgerald. At least 20 vendors will be on hand at the event, he said.
