Triton High School graduate Martha Moenning capped her FFA career last week by taking first place in the Prepared Public Speaking Leadership Development Event at the National FFA Convention and Expo in Indianapolis.
Moenning, the daughter of Mark and Donna Moenning, earned the right to compete in this year’s national convention during her senior year at Triton.

After a fourth attempt at passing a levy referendum, the Triton School District has finally been successful.
Unofficial results indicate that voters in the Triton district passed the referendum 818 to 568 in Tuesday’s special election.

Lois Ann Taphorn, age 77, passed away peacefully Oct. 22, 2019 at Reflections–End of Life Care in Northfield. Lois was a resident of Blooming Prairie at the time of passing.

Helen Ruth Fjone, age 94, of Faribault, died Sunday, Oct. 27, 2019 at The Emeralds at Faribault. A celebration of life will be held at Boldt Funeral Home, Faribault, on Monday, Nov. 4, 2019 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. A private service will be held for the family.
