MnDOT plans virtual public meeting June 28 for Hwy 14 project from Dodge Center to Byron
Residents are invited to attend a virtual public meeting on June 28 to learn more about the Highway 14 project from Dodge Center to Byron, according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation.

Many, maybe most, residents of Dodge County probably don’t know that Hayfield’s 150th Sesquicentennial Celebration this week is actually noting the founding of Hayfield Township. And that is the result of a group of prominent citizens deciding that they wanted to break away from Vernon Township.
And they did it without notifying Vernon Township officials.

Byron Legion Post 119 baseball boys got busy and played in the Montevideo Tournament on Saturday, Sunday, June 18, June 19. Byron went 2-1 on the day, defeating Prinsburg, 19-1, then taking down New London-Spicer, 8-2, both on Saturday. On Sunday, Byron lost 15-11, to a formidable Eastview squad.

Weather was perfect on Friday night for racing action at Chateau Speedway as the track played host to the Mid-American Renegade Non-Wing Traditional Sprints. It was the first of three appearances at Lansing this season for the class. They will also be on hand once in July and again in August.
