The Kasson-Mantorville/Triton KoMeTs boys soccer team scored two goals in the first half, which proved to be enough as they went on to beat Cannon Falls 6-1 in Kasson last week.
Leading the KoMeTs was Sawyer Bendickson who had three goals.
Miguel Martinez and Cooper Bebee both ended the game with a goal and an assist each and Adrian Larson had a goal of his own. Easton Schmitz ended the game with an assist.

The Byron boys soccer team beat Lake City on the road in a HVL matchup last Tuesday, in a 5-0 victory.
“The team placed scoring from corner kicks as a priority area to improve this week and responded with three scores from corner kicks,” Head Coach Dave Bahr said after the game.
Two of those goals came in the first half from Josh Gibson and Ryan Hartman.

The Byron girls cross country team faced some of the best competition it will see all season, last week at the Faribault Invite, according to Head Coach Tom O’Leary.
“Our girls really stepped up to the challenge with 6 of them setting Personal Records and nearly everyone setting a Season Best,” he wrote following the meet.

The Kasson-Mantorville girls volleyball team beat Lake City in three sets during its home opener last week.
Head Coach Allison Persick said her team “played united, supported each other and worked to take care of our side of the court.”
“ Looking forward to the continued growth of all players on this team throughout the season,” she said following the win.

Bob Pettey, 89, of Mantorville, MN, a friend to all that knew him, passed away peacefully at Methodist Campus, Mayo Clinic Hospital on Saturday, August 24, 2024, with his four children near him. He was born in Chatfield on April 16, 1935. He married Velma Brannan on June 8, 1957. After several early marriage moves, they settled on a small farm near Mantorville in 1965.
