KoMeTs boys soccer beats Cannon Falls, gets shut out by Stewartville
The Kasson-Mantorville/Triton KoMeTs boys soccer team scored two goals in the first half, which proved to be enough as they went on to beat Cannon Falls 6-1 in Kasson last week.
Leading the KoMeTs was Sawyer Bendickson who had three goals.
Miguel Martinez and Cooper Bebee both ended the game with a goal and an assist each and Adrian Larson had a goal of his own. Easton Schmitz ended the game with an assist.
Goalkeeper Riley Mitchell ended the game with four saves.
Stewartville
Over the weekend, the KoMeTs fell to the Stewartville Tiger 3-0 in Kasson.
“It was a disappointing result against a tough HVL Conference opponent,” Head Coach Shawn Bromelkamp wrote in an email following the game. “While we were able to create some opportunities for shots, we weren’t able to get them in the back of the net. Stewartville played well and capitalized on their opportunities, earning the win. We have another tough Conference game this Tuesday the 10th when we travel to Rochester to face the Lourdes Eagles.”
KoMeTs goalkeeper Riley Mitchell finished the game with five saves.
