Kasson’s newest wonder now open; the library

Pouring rain couldn’t stop the hundreds of people who splashed their way into the new Kasson Public Library for the ribbon cutting ceremony Saturday.
Library Director Art Tiff opened the event by welcoming everyone to the ‘health club for the brain,’ and quipped, “It’s great to see so many brains.” 

KoMets earn big section win in opening week

One year ago, the Kasson-Mantorville and Triton football teams hit the field at KMTelecom Stadium in anticipation for what the 2015 season would bring. For the Cobras, their 20-6 victory that afternoon helped set the tone for a 7-3 year that was fueled by a strong pass rush and steady ground game. Rep. Tim Walz visits Al-Corn to show support for hometown biofuels

Rep. Tim Walz visited Al-Corn Clean Fuel in Claremont on Aug 24 to learn more about the plant’s upcoming expansion exercise and reiterate his support for clean Minnesota-produced renewable biofuels.
Walz was briefed on Al-Corn’s $146 million expansion exercise which will provide a significant boost for the economy in Claremont and its surrounding towns.
