The last time the Owatonna High School boys lacrosse team played Northfield, it came down to the final seconds before the Huskies dropped their lone conference loss of the season.
Friday night at OHS Stadium, Owatonna had one thing on their mind.
Redemption and Walker Nelson led the charge.

Looking to end the regular season on a high note, the Owatonna boys tennis team hosted a pair of Big Nine Conference foes in Austin and Northfield Thursday at the OHS tennis courts.

Medford - Through six innings, the Medford High School softball team looked to be a mere three outs away from extending the school’s single-season wins record to seven.
The NRHEG Panthers on the other hand, who won a close decision over Maple River on Tuesday, were challenged by their head coach Wendy Schultz.
“Are you going to roll over and die or are we going to get to it and hit like we can?” she said.

Raymond was born Nov. 13, 1929, in Northfield, Minn., the son of Charles and Marie (Drentlaw) Taylor.  
He was raised near Randolph and graduated from high school. All the while growing up, Ray worked alongside his father on the family farm.  

Harriet Jester of Dodge Center passed away peacefully at Fairview Care Center on Jan. 27, 2017.
Harriet was born on Jan. 28, 1935 in Rochester, Minn., the daughter of Lester and Luella.  She grew up on a farm in Olmsted County where she met Theodore Singfiel. They were married and raised six children, farming until 1968.  They moved to Mississippi for a couple of years and then to Kasson.  

The Kasson-Mantorville softball team has seen its share of ups and downs throughout the 2017 season. While at times they look like a team that is ready to contend with some of the best in the section, they also have moments when the bounces don’t go the way of the KoMets.
Last week, the KoMets saw both sides of the pendulum as they were able to pick up a couple of big wins despite losing a heartbreaker to section foe Northfield.
