Byron High School graduates Class of 2019

The Byron High School Gym was filled with family, friends and community members on Sunday to celebrate the Byron Class of 2019.
Tara Dunken, a teacher at Byron who was picked by the class to give a speech during graduation used the time to talk about the different lessons that the class taught her over the years.

Dale Mowers, 93, Albert Lea

Memorial services for Dale Orland Mowers of Albert Lea, were held on Saturday, June 8, 2019 at the Bonnerup Funeral Service Chapel in Albert Lea.
Rev. Richard Hegal officiated at the service. A private family interment will be held at a later date in the Sunset Rest Cemetery, Northwood, Iowa. Military honors will be accorded by the Albert Lea Area Veterans Groups.

New Byron SRO continues career of helping people

The Byron track and field team will have five representatives for the Minnesota Class A Track and Field Meet this week as Austin Freerksen qualified in the long jump and the girls 4x100 meter relay

Ervin Richard Livingston, 94, of Kasson passed away on Saturday, May 25, 2019, at Mayo Clinic Hospital St. Mary’s Campus in Rochester.
Ervin Richard Livingston was born on March 28, 1925, the son of Everett and Mary (McEathron) Livingston in Hayfield, Minn.

Anita Louise (Wilson) Schouweiler of Kasson, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 22, 2019 at home. Born July 31, 1945, in Wabasha, Minn., she was the daughter of the late Clifford and Elizabeth (Betty) Wilson.

Shirley Ann Jorgenson, 87, of Kasson was called home by her Lord and Savior Saturday May 25, 2019. She passed away at Saint Mary’s Hospital Mayo Clinic Campus from complications due to a fall.

Joseph Mathias Simons, 87, Kasson

Joseph Mathias Simons, 87, of Kasson passed away at his home on Sunday, May 26,  2019. He was born on March 9, 1932 in Stewart, Minn. He was the seventh of nine children born to Jacob and Agnes (Krippner) Simons.  He attended St. Bonifacious Catholic School grades 1-8 and graduated from Stewart High School in 1951. He joined the US Navy in 1952 and served as a communication specialist aboard the battleship USS New Jersey.
