In addition to beating Hayfield during its homecoming matchup, the Triton Cobras volleyball team lost to Faribault Bethlehem Academy 3-0 at home.

The Triton/K-W/Hayfield girls soccer team was shutout three times last week to end its regular season.
In its game on the road against Wings United(St. James) Triton was shutout 1-0.
Goalkeeper Alyssa Knudson had six saves in the game.
In the team’s senior night, Triton suffered a 3-0 defeat, with Knudson ending the game with eight saves.

The Hayfield Cross Country team was the only area school to compete last week, running at the LARP Invitational.
For the men's team freshman Chapel Young finished 60th overall with a time of 20:56.3, junior Steven Gillette finished 82nd with a time of 22:22.20, and senior  Joseph Gillespie finished with a time of 24:31.30.

The Kasson-Mantorville/Triton KoMeTs finished its regular season with a loss to Dover-Eyota 2-1 in Kasson.
Miguel Martinez scored the only goal for the  KoMeTs, while goalkeeper Riley Mitchell had six saves in the game.
Win over Waseca
Earlier in the week the team beat Waseca in a Section matchup winning 2-1.

The Byron girls volleyball team defeated Pine Island 3-1 last week.
In the matchup Zoe Dearborn had 18 kills, four aces, 14 digs  and a block,  Paige Cronk had 53 set assists, three kills, two aces, 12 digs, and a block, and Kaydence Fjerstad had two aces, nine kills,  three digs, and two blocks.
In its matchup against Chatfield last week, the team was swept in three sets.

The Kasson-Mantorville girls volleyball team defeated Century and Lourdes High School  last week.
In the 3-1 victory over Century,  Abby Baker had nine kills and six aces, Aloaha Ricke had 15 kills and 10 digs, Alexie Awe had 11 kills, and Anna  Ask had 36 assists, eight digs, and four aces.
In its matchup against Lourdes High School K-M swept 3-0.

On Saturday Sept. 21  the 2024 Hall of Fame Class was inducted into the K-M Athletic Hall of Fame.  This is the 24th group to be honored for their athletic achievements at K-M.  This year the committee selected a former coach, two female and two male athletes.  4

As previously mentioned the Triton High School Activities Department has a mission of developing the profile of a graduate characteristics within our students. The eight characteristics that define a Triton graduate are communication, work ethic, resilience, problem solving, dependability, critical thinking, integrity and self awareness.

What was generally a dominant regular season by the Byron boys soccer team, ended rough, after a number of its top players were injured.
It began in its game against Cannon Falls on Sept. 24, when Jackson Fink, Jaxon Boynton, Isaiah McMahon, and Braden Wytaske all suffered injuries.
