The Triton/K-W/Hayfield girls soccer team defeated Wings United in the Section 2A play-in game after regulation and two overtimes went scoreless.
For TKWH, the difference came down to penalty kicks, with Camila Medina, Romina Medina, and Courtney Chicos converting penalty kicks, while the Wings only had two.
Goalkeeper Alyssa Knudson had six saves in the victory.

Byron volleyball beats Cannon Falls

For Byron Zoe Dearborn had 17 kills, four aces, and 10 digs, Paige Cronk had 35 set assists, two kills, an ace, and 14 digs, Ella Nelson had seven kills, and 19 digs, Kaydence Fjerstad had eight kills, two aces, two digs, and block, ad Addison Johnson had four set assists, a kill, and 23 digs in the win.

Little Vikes Youth Sports a huge success in Hayfield

Little Vikes Youth Sports (LVYS) was started in the Fall of 2022 in Hayfield. It is for students in Pre-K through either 2nd or 3rd grade, depending on the sport. The organization’s motto is to “encourage youth interest and involvement through skills training, Hayfield High School game/match events, and athlete mentorship.” During the Fall, sports offered are volleyball, flag football, and soccer.
