The Hayfield girls basketball team will be part of a co-op team with Schaeffer Academy this season, Hayfield Activities Director Chris Pack confirmed last week.

The Kasson-Mantorville girls soccer team fell in the semi-finals of the section tournament after beating Faribault in the first round.
In the matchup against Faribault, K-M took a 3-0 lead going into the second half, before scoring two more unanswered goals to win 5-0.

The Kasson-Mantorville volleyball team was defeated by Stewartville 3-0 last week.
For K-M, Jacey Heidt had 18 digs, Aloaha Ricke had seven kills, and nine digs, Alexie Awe had eight kills and eight digs, and Anna Ask had 21 assists and 11 digs in the loss.

Triton swept St. Charles in three sets last week, during a regular season matchup.

The Triton/K-W/Hayfield girls soccer team defeated Wings United in the Section 2A play-in game after regulation and two overtimes went scoreless.
For TKWH, the difference came down to penalty kicks, with Camila Medina, Romina Medina, and Courtney Chicos converting penalty kicks, while the Wings only had two.
Goalkeeper Alyssa Knudson had six saves in the victory.

The KoMeTs boys soccer team ended its season with a 3-0 loss to Austin in the playoffs last week.
KoMeTs goalkeeper Riley Mitchell had 14 saves in the game.

The Byron volleyball team swept Cannon Falls 3-0 last week, on the road.
For Byron Zoe Dearborn had 17 kills, four aces, and 10 digs, Paige Cronk had 35 set assists, two kills, an ace, and 14 digs, Ella Nelson had seven kills, and 19 digs, Kaydence Fjerstad had eight kills, two aces, two digs, and block, ad Addison Johnson had four set assists, a kill, and 23 digs in the win.

Little Vikes Youth Sports (LVYS) was started in the Fall of 2022 in Hayfield. It is for students in Pre-K through either 2nd or 3rd grade, depending on the sport. The organization’s motto is to “encourage youth interest and involvement through skills training, Hayfield High School game/match events, and athlete mentorship.” During the Fall, sports offered are volleyball, flag football, and soccer.

 
Citing personal reasons, Kasson-Mantorville School Board member Amy Olson will be resigning from the Board as of 5 p.m. Wednesday.
