Byron boys soccer picks up key road victories

The Byron Boys soccer team went 2-0 on the road last week taking on Waseca and Stewartville.
In its first game against Waseca Senior Captain, Jaxon Boynton scored within the first 30 seconds putting the Bears up 1-0. Brady Boyken and Ryan Hartman would also score in the first half putting Byron up 3-0.

KoMeTs blanks Red Wing 7-0

The Kasson-Mantorville/Triton KoMeTs defeated the Red Wing Wingers 7-0 on Sunday, in Kasson.
Miguel Martinez scored three goals, while Jon Schultz had a goal and an assist.
Emmett Oolman, Sawyer Bendickson, and Eli Gonzalez each had a goal while Cooper Bebee had two assists and Ethan Lee and Soack Leon each ended the game with one.

Triton activities works to reflect Profile of a Graduate

The mission of the Triton High School Activities Department is to provide students and staff opportunities to develop the core values identified in the Profile of a Graduate for Triton Public Schools.

Kasson-Mantorville/Triton/ Byron bowling begins season

The Kasson Mantorville Triton Byron (KMTB) varsity bowling team has started its season with three wins and a loss in Southern MN conference play. The team is currently tied for second with Rochester Mayo.
The one loss was to Stewartville, who is in first place with a 4-0 record.

The Dodge Soil and Water Conservation District has awarded the Terrance Lorch Family Farm as the 2024 Conservationist of the Year.

Kaths surpass 1,000 points

Chateau Speedway hosted the Friday Night Racing last week and had five classes active for another weekend of fun at the races.
The lone class not active last weekend were the WISSOTA Midwest Mods.
There were many exciting finishes, but the highlight of the weekend was a 25-car feature in the B-Modified division.

Zeta Hawkins, 94, Kasson

Zeta was born on March 22nd, 1930, in Iowa and was adopted by Bruno and Iva Zubradt in 1932. She grew up in Storm Lake, IA and graduated from Storm Lake High School. She was introduced to Franklin "Eugene" Hawkins by a cousin, shortly after his return home from his World War II Army service. They were married on August 26th, 1949, and soon after, set out on a journey to Rochester, MN.

Alan Dean Hegna, 75, Kasson

Alan Dean Hegna, 75, of Kasson, MN passed away on September 5, 2024 at Veteran’s Memorial Hospital in Minneapolis. Alan was born October 12, 1948 to Victor and Inez Hegna of Kasson.
