Last May Genny and I decided to follow in the footsteps of the Apostle Paul and signed up for a trip to Greece in November. We planned it with a Pennsylvania tour agency we had traveled with before on trips to Israel, Italy, Jordan and China.

Al-Corn Clean Fuel in Claremont has joined those in the industry who have made the decision to add a new product to their business – ethanol for hand sanitizer.

The Mantorville Art Guild’s project to offer free art supplies and sidewalk chalk to residents has proved to be successful with the group replenishing the supplies daily. Members also reminded the community that they intend to offer the summer art camps this summer although the exact dates are not known.

Life has changed for residents of Dodge County’s Fairview Care Center in recent weeks as the Dodge Center facility has had to adapt to new regulations because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Family members and friends are no longer permitted to visit and congregate dining and group activities are also curtailed as residents largely remain in their rooms.

During these dark days, everyone could use a symbol of hope and solidarity in their lives and high schools across the nation, including Dodge County, are providing that by turning their stadium lights on at night. 
It’s all part of the Be The Light campaign, which spread on social media after John Millea from the Minnesota State High School League sent a tweet challenging schools to model what’s been done across the country.

Some choose the kitchen countertop; others go to the dining room table or desks in their room. Wherever it is students around Dodge County are finding new places to do their schoolwork as they acclimate to distance learning.
