Wildcats beats Faribault

The Dodge County Wildcats boys hockey team defeated Faribault 7-5 last week.
Gabe Coshenet had two goals and two assists,
Camryn Koch had two goals, Dylan Klomps had a goal, Brett Ludvigsen had two goals and three assists, Joseph Simons had an assist, and Griffin Gibbs had an assist in the win.
Behind the net Wes Wagner had nine saves and Mason VanBenschoten had seven saves.

Triton wrestling falls to Maple River/ USC

The Triton Cobras took on Maple River/USC in a dual meet last week falling 39-25.
For Triton, Theo Kispert won the 114 pound weight class on a forfeit, Hunter Garness won the 160 pound weight class, Wylie Deml won the 189 pound weight class, Christian Schrom won the 215 pound weight class, and Craig Knutson won in the 285 pound weight class.

DC Girls Hockey remains undefeated

The Dodge County Girls Hockey team is still undefeated after eight games, following a weekend win against Mound Westonka/Southwest Christian.
The Wildcats got on the scoreboard first, with a goal in the first period, following a second goal in the second period to take a 2-0 lead.

Byron wrestling falls to Goodhue, Rochester Century, defeats Winona/Winona Cotter

The Byron wrestling team fell to Goodhue and Rochester Century last week in dual meets.
In its meet against Goodhue, Xiong, Paxton Xiong won the 133 pound weight class on a technical fall, and Brayden Lorentzen won the 172 pound weight class on a technical fall. Gavin Bartel also won the 189 pound weight class on a forfeit.

Triton wrestling falls to Kenyon- Wanamingo

The Triton Cobras lose to Kenyon- Wanamingo 57-13 in its first dual meet of the season.
For Triton Adriana Kunz won in the 107 pound weight class, Hunter Garness won in the 160 pound weight class, and Cole Kodada won in the 172 pound weight class.
 

DC Wildcats honors Aidan’s Light at Mental Health Awareness game

Shortly after the death of her son Aidan, Jennifer Hegge said the charity organization Aidan’s Light was formed.
“ We formed our charity after losing our 17-year-old son, Aidan, to suicide on July 27, 2020,” Hegge said.
Last Saturday, the organization was at the Dodge County Wildcat Girls hockey game, to help bring more awareness.
