The Triton Elementary School kindergarten classes eagerly headed outside recently as they prepared to test the packages they had designed that would ensure that a raw egg could survive a drop from the roof of Triton Elementary to the ground below.
The students, with the help of their parents, took to the project with enthusiasm, bringing their packages to class on the appointed day.

Needed street improvements and an update on the wastewater treatment plant were among the topics discussed by the Claremont City Council at their April meeting last week.
Councilmember Marie Lindblom, a member of the Public Works Committee, gave an update on the streets the committee has determined are in need of repair.

The world seems to get smaller as I get older.
Last week, while talking to Kat Perkins from “The Voice,” we discovered a mutual friend. My buddy, Dan Linford, who was the principal at the high school my sons attended in Utah, has a son who did quite well on “The Voice.” Tanner is his name and when I played the “Do you know?” game after meeting Perkins, it turned out they knew one another.

Many years ago a relative gave me some cash specifically earmarked for a trip to Germany. At the time I was a teenager and traveling abroad didn’t really trip my fancy. 
In my infinite wisdom, I found every reason in the book to not take advantage of it. College. Work. Marriage. Family. Not enough money. Kids. Time. Other interests. Just to name a few of the reasons I came up with.

Mr. Diderrich, 64 died, April 13 after a courageous battle with PSP. 
Edward William Diderrich was born September 1, 1951 in Lake City, MN to Irvin and Helen (Laqua) Diderrich. He graduated from Dover­-Eyota High School in 1969. On March 18, 1978 he married Donna Marie Donovan at The Little Brown Church in Nashua, IA. They made their home in Kasson, MN. 

 Arden Crane, 92 of Menahga, Minnesota and formerly of Dodge Center, passed away at Green Pine Acres Nursing Home in Menahga, Minnesota.  
Arden was born on August 22, 1923, the son of Lyman and Mildred (Roberts) Crane in Dodge Center, Minnesota.
