He may not be Tiger Woods, but for years Minnesota native Bill Israelson has been tearing up the courses around the country as a professional golfer.
The 59-year-old has an impressive list of accomplishments on his golf record. Some of them include playing in three U.S. Opens, winning many Minnesota PGA Golf Tournaments and playing on the PGA Tour in the mid-1980s.
It could have been a much different scene as a plane crashed and flipped over on a country road outside of Dodge Center Friday morning. Three people escaped serious injury as they essentially walked away unscathed.
The crash happened on County Road 9 just south of 630th Street northeast of Dodge Center. The small plane crashed, flipped over and ended up on its roof in the roadway.

Claremont is gearing up for its annual Hogfest celebration with this year’s event scheduled for Saturday, Aug. 6.
There have been a couple of changes made to the event this year, organizers said, as the event has been scaled back to one day. The event is aimed at being family friendly and all events will be in one centralized location near Memorial Park and the Fire Hall.
