It’s Fiesta time at Vandal’s

Holmberg was perched atop a dunk tank, a way for him to stay cool on Vandal's special anniversary day. The anniversary day carried the theme of "5th Anniversary Sale and Fiesta."

Draheims named 2019 Kasson Festival in the Park Grand Marshalls

For the almost 50 years that Mona and Roger Draheim have lived in Kasson, they have been involved in the community in some way. 
Thats why its so fitting that they were selected by the Kasson Festival in the Park Committee as this year’s Grand Marshalls. 
For the Draheims they were shocked that they were picked. 
“I gave the phone to my husband because I was in tears,” Mona said.

My favorite show: Parks and Rec

Most people have a favorite tv show, that they can binge watch time after time and never get sick of it.
For me that show has always been Parks and Recreation.
In fact I am currently binge watching it on Netflix for at least the 10th time. 
I think what I really like about the show aside from the hilarious jokes is the fact it has a lot of life lessons throughout the show. 

Charles W. Tesch (Chuck), 56, Claremont

Charles W. Tesch (Chuck) born Feb. 24, 1963 passed away  Thursday July 11th, at his home in Claremont, following a long battle with cancer.
There will be a celebration of life at the Dodge Center Country Club Saturday Sept. 7 from 1-3 p.m.

A. Lorraine Settergren, 100, died Saturday, July 20, at Glen Oaks in New London, Minn. A celebration of Life will be Aug.  31 at Zion Lutheran Church of Litchfield at 10:30 a.m. Burial will be in Dassel Cemetery.Born July 2, 1919, in Dassel, Minn., to Selma (Nystrom) and Oscar E. Dahlgren, she worked as a bookkeeper for her husband Roy Settergren when he owned and operated the Settergren Oil Co.

Hoses beat Guns in charity softball game

of all Dodge County Fire Departments and law enforcement personnel from the county. The game was
the start-off event for West Concord’s Survival Days. Money raised at this year’s game went to suicide
prevention efforts and was in memory of two Dodge County young people who were victims of suicide
in the past year.

Love and coffee brought Trail Creek Coffee Roasters to Kasson

About 15 years ago Jim and Crystal Whitmarsh were set up on a blind date, where they went out to Pizza Hut and a coffee shop, Cyberia Cafe, in upper Michigan.
Since then, they have had a dream of opening their own coffee shop. 
That dream soon became a reality.
