KoMets return to state tournament

Over the course of high school tournaments, it’s understandable if a team should falter during the intense pressure that comes with the territory. For the Kasson-Mantorville wrestling team, they’ve been able to block that out and find a way to get to the state tournament seven out of the past eight years after defeating Albert Lea to claim the Section 1AA dual championship on Saturday afternoon.

Don’t bleed red; make heart-healthy decisions

Hearts are plentiful during the month of February. The biggie involving hearts comes on some romantic day when lovers of all ages share their hearts and lots of love.

BP bows out of section

The Blooming Prairie wrestling team bowed out of the section team tournament, losing 45-21 to New Richland-Hartland-Ellendale-Geneva at Kenyon on Thursday, Feb. 11.
Five local matmen won their bouts, but the overall strength and the forfeits to the Panthers proved too much for the locals.  The individual section tournament is this coming Saturday, Feb. 20.
