Harlan O. Schultz, 75, Owatonna

Harlan O. Schultz, age 75, of Owatonna, passed away Feb. 4, 2019 at Birchwood Cottages in Owatonna.
Memorial service will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 16, 2019 at the Brick Meger Funeral Home, friends may greet the family one hour prior to the memorial service at the funeral home starting at 9:30 a.m. Military honors will be provided by the Steele County Funeral Unit.

Cindy Andersen, 55, Blooming Prairie

Cindy L. Andersen, age 55, of Blooming Prairie, passed away peacefully Saturday afternoon, Feb. 2, 2019 surrounded by her loving family at her son’s home in Hastings.

IN HONOR OF RITA

For anyone that knew the late Rita Buehler, they knew that she was a very kind and community minded person.
Aside from impacting hundreds of lives through teaching kindergarten and first grade at Kasson-Mantorville for 28 years, she also helped save over 300 lives through her generous blood donations.

HELPING THOSE WHO HELP OTHERS

For many years, the Klennert family has been a huge part of the Hayfield community.
Grant, is the principal High School Principal at Hayfield, and his wife Michele is a 5 grade teacher with the district.
Aside from working for the schools they have found  themselves apart of the local community in many ways, including reffing, coaching the academic triathlon team, coaching and being apart of local service organizations.

Breaking News: Craig Schlichting, Todd Meyer finalists for Triton superintendent

Local residents will get a chance to meet the two finalists for the Triton superintendent position next week.
After interviewing five semi-finalists this week the Triton School Board selected Craig Schlichting and Todd Meyer as the two finalists for the position.
Schlichting is currently the principal at Triton High School and has been employed by the Triton District since 1993.

Scott A. Wilson, Owatonna

Scott A. Wilson, born in Owatonna, passed away on Jan. 30, 2019 surrounded by loving family.
He was a wonderful family man, an avid hunter, and a successful banker. He is survived by many family and friends. He will be greatly missed.

Robert (Bob) Thomas Rundquist, 98, Kenyon

Robert (Bob) Thomas Rundquist passed away Jan. 26, 2019 at his residence at Gunderson Gardens in Kenyon.  
He was born Oct. 25, 1921 to Edna (Thomas) and Alvin Rundquist. For the past 68 years, he resided in the farm house in which he was born, having moved to Kenyon in November 2018.

Jayne Beth Hoffmann, 64, Dodge Center

Jayne Beth Hoffmann, 64, passed away on Jan. 31, 2019 at Mayo Clinic Hospital St. Mary’s Campus in Rochester.
Jayne was born in Knox, Ind., the daughter of Robby L. and Barbara (Bennett) Gilliland on March 2, 1954. The family moved to Dodge Center in 1960. She graduated from Dodge Center High School, Cottey College in Nevada, Mo., and received her BS Degree from Southwest Missouri State in Springfield, Mo.

MSBA honors Henslin for 30 years as school board member

Lloyd Henslin has always lived in Dodge County. He grew up in the country on his family’s farm, two miles outside of Dodge Center. He attended Dodge Center Schools and in 1970 graduated from Dodge Center High School.
