Triton Business Professions of America (BPA) sent 17 students to its Regional Competition, and they will send all 18 on to the State Competition after a successful day of competition.

Ben Pherson has spent many hours in school gyms, fields, and tracks during the course of his adult life.
 
As a Sports Editor at the Post Bulletin and a newspaper veteran of 20 years he has seen many different schools from small ones to big ones.
 
Last year Pherson decided to buy a home in Kasson and moved there with his wife and three children under the age of five for one reason.
 

 
A Kasson man was charged with Fifth Degree Drug Possession after drugs, scales and syringes were found during a traffic stop in Dodge County on Jan.12.
 
According to the complaint, James Lee Nelson, 41, was observed by a Dodge County Deputy, traveling 45 mph in a 30 mph zone, weaving within in the lane, touching the fog line on the road way.
 

The City of Dodge Center is expected to accept the resignation of it’s Finance Director, Julie Beth, on Monday, during their first council meeting of 2019.
 
According to the council packet, Beth put in her resignation and her last day will be Jan.16.
 

In any school students choice from a variety of different activities to do after school.
 
Now at Hayfield High School students will have a new activity.
 
That activity will be an after school video game club.
 
After the Hayfield Media Center was remodeled over the summer to become a complete state of the art center, students were very impressed with it.
 

 The Byron Public Schools (BPS) is pleased to announce a new opportunity that will begin for the 2019-2020 school year in partnership with Rochester Public Schools (RPS).  This fall Byron students will have the opportunity to obtain a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license at the Career and Technical Education Center (CTECH) in Rochester.
 

 
January 09, 2019 – The immediate impact of the partial government shutdown is being felt by the approximately 1,600 federal employees in Southeastern Minnesota who are either currently furloughed or required to work without pay. Channel One Regional Food Bank is ready to assist these public servants and anyone else who needs help during this difficult time.

The Celebration of Life service for Anna Ross Muehleis will be 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 13, 2019, at the Faith Lutheran Church in Dodge Center with Rev. Barbara Streed officiating.  Visitation will be one hour before the service at the church on Sunday.
Interment will be in Riverside Cemetery in Dodge Center.
Anna Muehleis, 88, passed away on Saturday morning, Jan. 5, 2019, at Fairview Care Center in Dodge Center.
