United Way announces $20,000 in funding  for local Dodge County programs

The United Way of Southeast Minnesota Board of Directors recently approved $20,000 in funding for four local nonprofit programs in Dodge County, in addition to funding organizations in Olmsted and Fillmore counties
United Way is supporting Dodge County partners working to help families stay housed, access early childhood care and receive school readiness services.
In Dodge County, funding will support Kasson-Mantorville Care and Share’s Community Hardship Fund, which will help households experiencing financial hardship remain stably housed; Semcac’s Kasson Contact Center, which connects community members with
essential local resources; Salvation Army Dodge County’s Transportation Assistance; and NAMI Southeast Minnesota’s Dual Diagnosis Support Group, which supports those living with mental illnesses and substance use disorders.
These investments are made possible by people across our region who choose to give
through the United Way. Their support allows United Way to respond to what communities say they need most — and direct resources toward local solutions in Dodge County.
“Strong communities are built by listening first and investing where families feel the most
pressure,” said Jerome Ferson, President of United Way of Southeast Minnesota.
“When families have a safe place to live and can access resources, they are better positioned to
work, care for one another and build stability,” he said. “We’re proud to invest in local programs that help make that possible.”
