Thank your community festival organizers

You know the drill.
It is summer time in Minnesota, which means, there are a host of community events and celebrations happening virtually every weekend.
In a couple of weeks the Dodge County Free Fair will be underway.
There are events that have already happened like Dodger Days in Dodge Center, and Chicken Fry weekend in Hayfield.
There are Survivor Days in West Concord, and Good Neighbor Days in Byron.
These are just a few examples of the many different community celebrations happening this summer.
At the core of all these, aside from the family entertainment, rides, food, and good company, are the community member volunteers, who help put on these events.
Event planners and high paid consultants aren’t coming to town to help put on these events. Instead, these are volunteers in the community, who want to see nothing more than their community having a time when neighbors can get together, in a fun, safe environment.
These volunteers give up time from work and family to help put these on, and they all deserve a huge thank you.
Next time you see a community volunteer for an event you attend, please make sure to thank them.
