The Kasson-Mantorville softball team is going through a bit of a learning process in the field, but their lineup has been the team’s strength all season long. The KoMets’ power was on full display this week in taking two out of three games.

The Triton golf team is beginning to hit their stride during the middle part of the schedule as they had two solid performances at the Dodge County Country Club last week. The golfers were able to play well and add a couple more medalists to a season that has already had plenty of them.

The Kasson-Mantorville baseball team has gotten off to a great start to the year with a 6-1 record heading into their Monday night game against Holy Family Catholic. While the record looks great on paper, the KoMets haven’t been running away with games due to a modest effort at the plate. Thankfully, K-M has been able to use their athleticism to manufacture runs.

If there were a phrase that could describe Kasson-Mantorville senior runner Ben Colvin, it would be a role model. As one of the standouts on both the K-M cross country and track and field teams, Colvin has excelled on both platforms and turned it into an athletic career at the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology beginning next fall.

The Kasson-Mantorville softball team is looking to establish themselves early this season. Even though their week started with a loss to Zumbrota-Mazeppa, the KoMets were able to do that by defeating Lake City and picking up a big win over Osseo to improve to 4-1 on the year.

The Kasson-Mantorville track and field team got its first meet of the season in on a beautiful Friday afternoon hosting Red Wing and Glencoe-Silver Lake. The meet proved to be a great opportunity to set a baseline as the season gets underway.
