School Board, County Board positions on ballot

Positions on area school boards and the Dodge County Commissioners are on the November ballot.
For school boards, positions are open the Byron, Kasson-Mantorville, Hayfield and Triton districts.
There are contested races in both Byron and Kasson-Mantorville.
In addition to those who filed for positions write-in candidates can be entered.
Running for the Byron school board are Britton Avant, Kelli J. Crary, James-Duke D. Dieterle, Alisha Eiken, Lisa Jessen, and Nadia Poluhina. In the Kasson-Mantorville district, candidates include Elizabeth Armstrong, Eric J. Mesa, Amy K. Olson, Aaron Stockard, and Pat Walsh.
Hayfield
There are four positions open on the Hayfield board. Candidates are Kathy Hegna Zelinske, Justin Holtan, Heather Swygman, and Patrick Towey Jr.
Triton
There are three positions open in Triton and three individuals running. Candidates include Scott Curren, Jim Jensen and Rebecca Knutson.
Other Districts
While most residents of Dodge County and Byron reside in one of the four districts above, there are a smaller number of residents who do live in other school districts including Blooming Prairie, Kenyon-Wanamingo and Pine Island.
In the Blooming Prairie district there are three people running for three positions — Brady Hullopeter, Melissa Stoen and Jonathan Sunde. In Kenyon-Wanamingo, two people are running for three open positions — A.J. Lindell and Madilynn Lurken. The Pine Island district has three people running for three positions — Kristi Harney, Bryan Matera and Ron Peterson-Rucker.
Dodge County residents in County Commissioner Districts 1 and 2 will be voting for commissioners and as well Soil and Water Supervisor Districts 1, 2 and 5.
John Allen filed for County Commissioner District 1 and David Kenworthy for District 2.
For Soil and Water Supervisor, Richard Kenneth Alberts filed for District 1 and Bruce Freerksen filed for District 2. There were no filings for district 5.
