ROAD CLOSED
People often say that there are two seasons in Minnesota. Winter, and construction season.
With the last glimpse of winter looking to be over, it’s now time for the new season to begin. For Dodge County area residents, one of the biggest projects that will create headache for them this spring and summer is scheduled to begin this week, as three bridges along Highway 57 between Mantorville and Wanamingo are scheduled to be replaced.
According to a MnDOT, the bridges are over the North Branch Middle Fork Zumbro River, Middle Fork Zumbro River and Milliken Creek. Highway 57 will be closed to through traffic and detoured to Highway 56 via Goodhue County Road 11 north of construction and Dodge County Road 16 south of construction. Detour signs will be placed for accessing Berne on Dodge County Road 24 from the west.
The project is expected to go until October.
