Pre-game Thanksgiving with Turkey Day 5K

Looking to get some exercise before the big dinner on Thanksgiving Day? The 4th Annual Turkey Day 5k is just what you need.
Both the 5k and a 2.5k races begin at 8 a.m.
The family-friendly run/walk is hosted by The Main Alternative.
All race registrations and other donations will be given directly to the Food Shelf in Kasson and the Dodge County Salvation Army.
Following the race, there will be water, coffee and hot chocolate provided by the Dodge County Salvation Army. Bloody Marys and screwdrivers will be available for participants 21 and over.
Post-race snacks will also be available. Costumes are encouraged, and after the race, there will be a costume contest as well as drawings for prizes.
The race will begin at the Kasson Mini Mall/The Main Alternative, 13 W. Main Street.
The route for the 5k has changed slightly this year to include a portion of Restoration Park near the north Kwik Trip.
The 2.5k route is the same as last year, beginning at the Mini Mall/Main Alternative, going east to Mantorville Avenue, north to 5th Street, west to 8th Avenue NW, south to Main Street and east to the starting point.
The 5k route begins at the Mini Mall/Main Alternative and goes east to Mantorville Avenue, north to the roundabout by the North Kwik Trip left to 8th Avenue NW, south to Main Street and back to the starting point.
Registration is $32.80, including a $2.80 registration fee for those 16 and older. Registration is $16.90 for ages 5 to 15 and $6.30 for ages 0 to 4.
Registration ends at 12 p.m. on Nov. 26.
