Pappas honored for years at Hubbell House

Don Pappas has been overseeing the operations of the family-owned Hubbell House in Mantorville since 1986. Last week he, along with the Pappas family, was honored for that work with a resolution from the Minnesota State Senate.
State Sen. David Senjem presented Pappas with the official resolution Thursday at a noon event at the restaurant attended by Mantorville Mayor Chuck Bradford, Mantorville residents and friends of the family from the area.
“For decades, Don Pappas and his family have made The Hubbell House a stalwart establishment in Mantorville and the surrounding communities,” said Senjem, who was the author of the resolution.
Everybody knows the Hubbell House, said Bradford. In his travels in the United States, Bradford said, he has met people, including those from outside the country, and when he says he is from Mantorville they mention the Hubbell House.
