Open house to cover upcoming bridge repairs on Highway 57
The public is invited to an open house on Thursday, April 18 in Mantorville to learn more about this spring’s bridge replacements planned for Highway 57 north of Mantorville near Berne, MnDOT has announced.
Representatives of MnDOT and the contractor, Icon Constructors of Mabel, Minn., will be available to answer questions and provide information from 4:30 to 6 p.m., in the county board room at the Dodge County Government Services Building, 721 Main St. N., in Mantorville.
Beginning May 1, three bridges along Highway 57 between Mantorville and Wanamingo are scheduled to be replaced. The bridges are over the North Branch Middle Fork Zumbro River, Middle Fork Zumbro River and Milliken Creek. Highway 57 will be closed to through traffic and detoured to Highway 56 via Goodhue County Road 11 north of construction and Dodge County Road 16 south of construction. Detour signs will be placed for accessing Berne on Dodge County Road 24 from the west. The project is expected to go from May to October.
During the April 18 open house, people may drop by at any time during the session to learn more about the project, offer feedback, and ask questions. Maps and information will be available.
