Kasson finds Kasson

This past weekend six-year-old Kasson Belsaas, along with his parents, Drew and Jamie, plus two-year-old sister Emery, spent three days seeing the sights of the community. Jamie explained they had four names picked out at the hospital when their son was born and one of them was Cassen but they decided to change the spelling to Kasson.

Of all the fruits I love to eat, strawberries would have to be my top choice.
I always love this time of the year because you find fresh berries. You can either go out and pick your own or grab some at stands and farmer’s markets around the area.

James Spinler, 78, Medford

James Peter Spinler, age 78 of Medford, passed away June 8, 2020 in Rochester.Jim was born to parents Peter and Cora (Taylor) Spinler in Owatonna. He attended school in Medford, and then worked at the canning company. He got married in 1959 to Thora Liin the two later divorced. He had his own garbage hauling business in Medford and the surrounding area.

Kyllo recounts her memorable reign

This has been a year unlike any other and that’s especially true for Byron’s Amy Kyllo; but for her it’s been a unique year for an entirely different reason other than COVID-19.
            For the past 10 months she’s served as the 66th Princess Kay of the Milky Way.
            As Princess Kay, she’s gotten to travel around the state talking about dairy farming and being an ambassador for the Midwest Dairy Association.

K-M grad inducted into Naval Academy Class of 2020

Cade Spreiter, a 2020 graduate of Kasson-Mantorville High School was inducted into the Naval Academy Class of 2024 Thursday, June 25, and will begin six challenging weeks of basic midshipman training as part of Plebe Summer.
