Faith Lutheran’s Harvest Feast Dinner Nov. 6

The annual Harvest Feast dinner, bake and quilt sale at Faith Lutheran Church in Dodge Center is scheduled for next Wednesday, Nov. 6.
Dinner, including meatballs, ham, mashed potatoes and gravy, cole slaw, corn, rolls, relishes, and pie, will be served from 5 to 7:30 p.m. The Bake/Quilt Sale will run from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m.
Cost for the meal is $15 for adults and $5 for youth ages 5 to 19.

Congress hopefuls spar on most issues

It was the first partisan candidate forum — and it showed.
Brad Finstad, R-New Ulm, the incumbent in Minnesota’s 1st Congressional District, faced challenger Rachel Bohman, a Rochester native, Monday at the Owatonna Country Club.
Beginning with the first question, Bohman repeatedly took Finstad to task for not passing a new farm bill in the two years since he was elected to office.

Mary Ellen (Trahms) Rehwaldt, 94, of Dodge Center, MN passed away on Saturday, October 26, 2024. Mary was born on June 26, 1930, the daughter of George Robert and Ellen Emma Anna (Fitzloff) Trahms, at Immanuel Hospital in Mankato. She grew up in rural Smith’s Mill near Janesville. Mary Ellen was baptized on July 27, 1930, a member of Smith's Mill Lutheran Church, and confirmed on April 30, 1944.
