Then & Now

Kasson Church of Christ is a daughter congregation of the Concord Church of Christ. The former State Theater building in Kasson was purchased by members living in the Kasson, Mantorville, and Byron area with services held starting in November 1983. They moved to their present location at 901 8th Ave NW (west of the dump road) when the new building was completed in 1998. An addition to the church was completed in 2003. The State Theater was built in 1937 and closed in 1967. Movies once again started showing in November 1998. (Photo by Wayne Hendrickson and church history courtesy of Muriel French.)
