Sterling Pharmacies aim big for Alz-heimer’s

During June, Sterling pharmacies across southern Minnesota and northern Iowa are raising funds for the Alzheimer’s Association in honor of their founder, Leonard Astrup.
The tradition of turning their pharmacies purple with Alzheimer’s Association pin-ups (purchased by patients and shoppers) began in 2016. Since then, with help from the communities they serve and matching dollars from the Astrup Family Foundation, the Sterling pharmacies have raised $210,500 to help in the fight against Alzheimer’s.
This year, Sterling is celebrating its 70th Anniversary and is using that excitement to aim for its highest goal yet. Along with the other businesses in Astrup Companies (Sterling Long Term Care Pharmacy, Sterling Specialty Pharmacy, IHPN, and Smart-Fill) and with matching funds up to $35,000 from the Astrup Family Foundation, Sterling Pharmacy has set a goal of $70,000 to tie in with the celebration of their Anniversary.
Sterling encourages their communities to join their efforts by purchasing $1, $3, and $5 pin-ups at the store or visit YourSterlingPharmacy.com and click “Donate Now” on the Alzheimer’s donation pop-up to donate online. All donations raised by Sterling in June will receive a matching donation (up to $35,000).
