BREAKING NEWS: Non life-threatening injuries after stabbing
Four people are in custody after a stabbing incident in the early morning hours in Meriden Township of Steele County.
According to the Steele County Sheriff’s Office, one person was seriously injured after deputies responded to a residence after 3 a.m. on July 10.
The injured party was immediately airlifted to a Level 1 trauma center. Injuries include numerous stab wounds, but the injuries are not considered to be life threatening, Sheriff Lon Thiele said.
Thiele said he would not speculate on the motive of the stabbing. He expects to release more details next week.
The sheriff’s department and Owatonna Police Department arrested one adult and three juvenile males in Owatonna. All of the suspects were believed to be involved are all in custody and Thiele said there is no ongoing threat to the public’s safety.
The Steele County Attorney’s office is reviewing the matter for charges. The suspects are being held in custody until at least Monday.
