Authorities searching for Dodge Center woman in connection to hit and run
Authorities are searching for a Dodge Center woman in relation to a hit-and-run incident in Austin last week.
According to authorities, around Noon on Friday, July 19, Austin Police say a vehicle struck a pedestrian in Austin.
According to Austin Police Captain Todd Clennon , the victim and suspect are known to each other. Clennon said the 19-year-old victim was taken to Mayo Clinic in Austin with "significant visible injuries".
According to authorities on Monday an arrest warrant was issued for 20-year-old Tori Ward of Dodge Center. Ward is wanted on Preemptive Attempted 1st Degree Murder, Attempted 2nd Degree Murder; with intent, and 2nd Degree Assault with a Dangerous Weapon Causing Bodily Harm.
According to authorities they believe that she is still somewhere in SouthEast Minnesota, and that she has ties to Austin, Dodge Center and Rochester.
Law enforcement is searching for a gray 2008 Mazda 3 sedan with front end damage including a broken windshield, bearing Minnesota license plate “ACG 347”.
