Farm accident leads to injury last week

A farm accident in Dodge Center last Friday lead to injuries.
According to Dodge County Sheriff Scott Rose, around 9:30 a.m. Dodge County Dispatch received a report of a male caught in a grain bin at a farm south of US Hwy 14 on 165 Ave. 
Deputies on scene found the man in the bottom of a grain bin with his leg trapped under the auger with his clothing caught in the auger.
He was not under the corn, but there was corn in the bin. Deputies and First Responders worked to contain the corn that was in there so they could treat the victim. 
As a precaution, Rose said that Mayo One was dispatched and the railroad was notified to stop any trains in our area to avoid blocking ambulance access to the farm. 
The victim was transported by Dodge Center Ambulance to Saint Mary’s ER where  he was treated for non-life threatening lacerations and an ankle injury. 
The victim’s name was not released nor were details released about who’s farm the injury occurred at.
