Traffic stop leads to drug arrest

A Mankato woman was arrested for felony drug possession on Saturday after drugs and other paraphernalia was found.
 
According to the complaint a Deputy with the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office stopped a vehicle belonging to Sadie Louise Roesch, 23, for numerous driving violations.
 
Roesch explained to the deputy that she was attempting to get back to Rochester, but her direction device was giving her the wrong directions. She stated that she had consumed any alcohol or drugs.
 
The deputy during the traffic stop observed her to be very paranoid and nervous. Aside from her appearing to be lethargic and slow with her movements, the deputy also noticed that she had fresh dried blood on the top of her right hand.
 
After being asked about it Roesch admitted to having heroin “baggies with residue” in the vehicle. She also stated to being a heroin user and had used earlier in the day.
 
After being detained the deputy did a search of the vehicle and found the following: small amount of heroin, tin case with baggies of heroin, multiple heroin syringes, NARCAN myst spray, metal container with burnt residue and alcohol prep pads.
 
She was jailed in Steele County Jail over the weekend and according to jail records she remained jail as of Monday.
 
According to the complaint she also has had three prior charges in 2018 including a 1st Degree Sale of Drugs, a DWI, and a misdemeanor drug possession charge.
 
If convicted of the most serious charge, 5 Degree Possession Roesch can face up to 5 year in prison and or a fine.
