First annual Kasson Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony set for tonight

A few years ago a community Christmas Tree was put up and decorated at Veterans Park in Kasson.
 
While the tree was put up and decorated by a group there was no celebration for it.
 
Tonight that will not be the case as the Kasson Park Board will be hosting a Tree Lighting Ceremony at 6:30 p.m. at Veterans Park.
 
“Other towns have Christmas Tree Lightings so I suggested it to the Park Board that we should do it this year,”  Janey Sinning, a member of the Park Board said.
 
The community event will be taking place at Veteran's Memorial Park Gazebo at 6:30 pm.  Special guests include Mayor Chris McKern, Pastor Jacob Hanson, KM High School band.
The Kasson Police Department will have a tub for people to make their donation to Toys for Tots if they chose to do so.
