NEWS UPDATE: Kasson officer identified in suicide attempt

Dodge County Sheriff Scott Rose has identified the Kasson police officer involved in a shooting incident last weekend as 51-year-old Julio Baez.
Baez remains in critical condition at St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester. He is a 14-year veteran of the department. 
Rose said the case in being investigated as an attempted suicide by his investigators.
Baez was found with self-inflected gunshot wounds in a grassy area outside of Mantorville June 2 around 6:15 a.m. He was flown from the scene by Mayo One to St. Mary’s
