Prom Presents Challenges

My legs hurt, and my calves ache, but I think I'll be okay.
Walking in heels is harder than most people would think, and I believe women don’t get enough credit for doing it all day. I only did it for approximately three hours and I can attest. It isn’t pleasant.
Standing in heels for two hours is bad enough, but walking in them is a completely other thing.
If anyone has a semblance of what I’m talking about, I’m talking about Prom. And while it was a good night, I seem to not be reaping the benefits. I will say that I haven’t done any sort of exercise is a large number of months, but I didn’t think it would do this to me.
The food was good, the people were great, and the unlimited amount of Shirley Temples I was allowed to have throughout the night really put a cherry on top of my night.
My friends and I didn’t leave Prom until we actually had to, and it wasn’t until I was trying to walk down the big hill leading up to Somerby Golf Club that I realized that I couldn’t actually walk and that I had mindlessly been skipping around with no shoes on all night.
My friend had to basically carry me down the hill.
While some of my friends did go to Post Prom, some decided against it. It wasn’t until we got a call at three in the morning after having fallen asleep from watching The Office that we realized the night wasn’t quite over. They had all decided it was a great idea to go to Denny’s. At three in the morning. I dragged myself from bed.
I did feel very bad for our waiter that night, as he more than likely expected it to be dead all night. I left him a good tip, though. The 3 a.m. pancakes were also greatly appreciated.
We played games basically the rest of the night, and I didn’t manage to actually fall asleep until the sun started to rise. I didn’t complain about sleeping on the floor that night.
