The Northern Plain Regulators will be demonstrating the new event of cowboy mounted shooting on Friday, July 17 at 4 p.m. during the Dodge County Free Fair this year.
“Experience the thrill of fast horses, quick draws, and skilled horsemanship as competitors race through a timed course while shooting black powder blanks from.45 LC revolvers at ten balloon targets,” a release read.
“Cowboy mounted shooting combines the excitement of rodeo competition with the spirit of the Old West, making it a crowd favorite for all ages,” according to the release.
