Claremont City Council approves purchase agreement

The Kasson-Mantorville football team was on a roll coming into their matchup with Plainview-Elgin-Millville Friday night. One week after showing laser-like precision against La Crescent, it would have been understandable if the KoMets had felt like a game against a struggling opponent would be a breeze to get to a showdown with Stewartville this Friday.
But, sometimes good teams can have some off nights. While the final score against P-E-M didn’t suggest it, the KoMets showed that they have some things to work on after a 47-18 victory in Elgin.
“We sat down and had a good talk with the guys,” K-M head coach Broc Threinen stated. “We wrote down four big things that we need to improve on and one of those things was holding ourselves back. You can’t put yourselves in bad downs and distances like we did. You’re already playing against one team, so you don’t want to make it two by making your own mistakes.”
Things weren’t all bad for the KoMets as they opened the game with the same energy that they had brought in their La Crescent victory. On a methodical drive that lasted half of the first quarter, K-M marched down
