Reiki master opens shop in Kasson

Ana Curry-Usui has embarked on her passion project by opening a new business in Kasson.
The Byron stay-at-home mom opened Wholistic Workshop in May and held a ribbon cutting on Sept. 27. She’s both the business’s founder as well as a crystalline reiki master.
Wholistic Workshop offers energy healing, specifically reiki, she said. She also sells crystals and does events. Reiki sessions are $75 an hour, $45 for a half hour and are made by appointment.
Her target demographic is women ages 28 to 58, Curry-Usui said.
“We like to have people feel confident in their well-being,” she said. “What makes my reiki different is that we like to empower you during your sessions.”
Among the testimonials for Wholistic Workshop on Facebook is one from Taylor Mix.
“Ana creates a warm and welcoming environment every time I come to the shop, and my session was no different! Ana made sure the pillows and blankets felt comfortable and that I was comfortable overall. During my session I was able to turn my brain off and just relax.
“As someone with ADHD, this is very hard to do. The combination of gentle music, gentle movements from Ana, and overall a calm atmosphere really helped. I felt so relaxed and weightless afterwards. I was talking to my partner about making it a monthly thing.”
Amanda Marsden Hulm posted on Facebook that she was able to do a session recently.
“The space is warm, cozy and relaxing,” she said. “The majority of my session I felt at ease and experienced a body buzz/vibration throughout my whole body as she was able to shift my energies. Afterward I felt light and very much recharged. Felt absolutely phenomenal!”
Curry-Usui urges people to keep tabs on what’s coming out next as she’s prone to offering workshops and classes that include other holistic practitioners.
Wholistic Workshop is located in Daniel’s Plaza on S. Mantorville Avenue, off Highway 14. To make an appointment, go to thewholisticworkshop.com or reach Curry-Usui at 507-272-6072.
