TKWH soccer ties with Cannon Falls, defects Tri-City United

The Triton/Kenyon-Wanamingo/Hayfield girls soccer home opener versus Cannon Falls ended in a 1-1 tie last week.
“Romina Medina scored our goal with an assist from Haylie Budahn,” Head Coach Jeremy Himli wrote in an email. “Alyssa Knudson had 13 saves in goal. Junior Jade Scovill made her first career start. Defenders Olivia Weber, Courtney Chicos, RoseLyn Liudahl, and McKenzy Purinton played the entire 80 minutes.”
On Friday the team traveled to Montgomery beating Tri-City United 2-0.
“Ryann Heimer scored her first career goal and also had an assist,” Himli said following the game. “ Romina Medina scored our second goal to give her 2 on the season. Alyssa Knudson had 16 saves and recorded her second career shutout.”
